If you are avoiding your health and thinking that nothing will happen, then you are wrong. The habits that you are following should be changed so that you can live a proper lifestyle. Also, a few years down the line, when you are planning to become a father, things might not work in your favor. Age has a lot to do with your health. After a certain age, there are chances that your health might take a back seat, and especially your reproductive health.

Alcohol

It is a very sad thing that people only believe that alcohol affects women’s fertility. The thing that we should not forget is that it affects male’s fertility too. You can consume alcohol up to a certain limit only. Beyond that, it is not recommended. It can lead to a lot of reproductive problems which ultimately lead to in the reduction of libido and lowering of the testosterone levels. It is because of these two factors that the quality of the sperms lowers. After a certain age, your liver also gets affected creating problems like that of reduced sperm count.

Smoking

Not only alcohol, even smoking is also responsible for reducing the sperm count in a male. According to a research, men who smoke have a less number of sperm count as compared to those men who do not.

Lifestyle

This matters a lot when it comes to male fertility. Men who follow/lead a sedentary lifestyle are prone to this problem. You have to be very active and also make sure that you exercise daily, if not daily, at least five times a day. If you are just a beginner, then you can start by walking daily for at least 30 minutes. This is very important as it helps in increasing your stamina, makes your immune system strong and also your fertility is increased.

Stress

Living a life that is full of stress is no way going to help you. If you are planning to have a baby, it is very important for you to lead a lifestyle. It is also very important to maintain a balance in your life in terms of what you eat and how you live your life. Also, make sure that you indulge yourself in some activities to ward off stress. Spend time with your family and friends.

Food

The kind of food that you eat affects your sperm count. You should form a habit of eating healthy food which includes a proper balance of all the nutrients like that of protein, carbohydrates, and vitamins. Refrain from eating junk food. Healthy food helps in increasing your sperm count. Junk food is a big NO for you.
